We offer high quality training to support schools and settings in developing their work with parents and the community at an affordable price.
Our training is highly participative and practical. It includes sharing current practice, input about developments, tools to help reflect on our work, practical case studies, videos, evidence based strategies and discussion. Where possible, training includes gap tasks. It is aimed at school staff including senior leadership, teaching staff, family workers and parent governors.
We also run staff INSET sessions on a range of topics from class meetings to running the Playclub Project. Please contact us if you are interested.
Most of our training is based in Manchester and is open to all schools to attend.
Courses include Parents as Educators, Consultation with Parents, KS2 Family Detective Reading Project, Mouse Club Transition Project, EYFS Home Learning Project, Numeracy, Managing Conflict, Working with Disadvantaged Families, Moving Up to High School, the Playclub Project, Coordinating Parental Engagement, Pupil Premium Network, Developing a School Policy on Parental Engagement, and Developing a Volunteer Programme.
We also are able to work nationally with schools and organisations who cannot attend training in Manchester. We have run training for schools in Hull, Derbyshire and Wales, and as part of a funded project we are currently training schools in Suffolk. Past training has included Parents as Educators, Managing Conflict, Working with Disadvantaged Families, Moving Up to High School, the Playclub Project, and the KS2 Family Detective Reading Project.
We are currently trialling web-based training. Please contact us if you are interested.
